ALL-UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF DEFENDERS OF UKRAINE (WAR VETERANS)

The All-Ukrainian Association of Defenders of Ukraine (War Veterans) is a powerful public organization that unites approximately 70,000 combat veterans within its ranks. The Association is a non-profit, officially registered civil society organization with nationwide status and separate regional branches in all regions of Ukraine.

A large number of Ukrainian Afghan war veterans who are members of our Association took part in the Revolution of Dignity, fighting for Ukraine’s European future. During the full-scale invasion, some Afghan veterans lost their lives defending our State at the cost of their own. Some of them were awarded Ukraine’s highest honor, the title “Hero of Ukraine,” unfortunately posthumously.

Today, despite their age and health conditions, a significant number of activists of the All-Ukrainian Association of Defenders of Ukraine (War Veterans) are directly participating in the defense of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer formations. They also provide material and moral support to Ukrainian servicemen involved in the war against Russia. Through long-term programs, they prepare the younger generation of defenders of the Motherland, passing on their combat experience.

Expressing our deep respect, we kindly ask you to provide the All-Ukrainian Association of Defenders of Ukraine (War Veterans) with non-refundable charitable financial assistance to support the fulfillment of its statutory goals.

Across all regions of Ukraine, the Association independently implements comprehensive social adaptation programs for soldiers returning from combat zones, and provides assistance to war veterans with disabilities as well as to the families of those killed in Afghanistan, during the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), and in the full-scale war.
